 Welcome to kennel Attentive's website!

Kennel Attentive is a small kennel, runned by two sisters named Marianne Saether and Wenche Stange. We breed Flat coated retrievers, and hopefully our first litter of English springer spaniels will be born during 2007. We just have 1-2 litters a year and our main goal is healthy, teachable, friendly, nice looking puppies with their naturall working-instincts and "willing to please". We both have small children, so it s very important for us that our dogs have an extremelly good temper.

We both have long experience with dogs, nearly 16 years. Obedience and shows have been our main interess over the years. And we love long walks in our fabulous nature, either along the seaside or on the mountain. But these days, with small children at home, we mostly spend our time outside in the nature with dogs and children. But in weekends we can be found around the retriever or spaniel-ring at a show in Norway, or maybe Sweden. Or on a filed trail..

We hope you have a pleasent visit here in our web-site. And don't hesitate to leave a message/greeting in our guestbook. Thanks for your visit :-)

Some words about us:

Wenche
I'm 35 years old and married to Steinar Rye Stange. We have 3 girls, Stine (2001), Nora (2004) and Tuva (2005).
We live on a farm, about 35 km east of Molde, of the west coast of Norway. Almost between Bergen and Trondheim. Our farm is about 240 acres, where 100 acres is forrest. The rest of it is grazing land for our horses. We dont have any neighbours, so our dogs runs free all day.

Animals have always been my main interess, growing up with a dog and severeal cats. When I became big enough I got my first hamster, rabbit, guinea pig, mouse ... When I was about eight it was just horses on my mind. I took my bicycle and biked to every horse in the neighbourhood. I bought my first horse when I was 14, and never stoppes loving this amazing animals. When I was 20 and moved out from my parents house, it became difficult keeping horses. Then i bought my first dog. It was a Leonberger called Løveliens Senorita Garita la Bela (Garita). Garita unfortunately got prolapse in her back, and I had to put her to sleep only 1,5 year old. I also had the lovely flat coated pup Coneken's Ivrige Inger (Ivi) (NSUCH Lustans Active Runner - Coneken&'s Comely Coco). She became an amazing hunting and obedience dog. When Ivi was 2,5 year we compited in elite-class in retirevers workingclass and in the elite-class in obedience. We also compited in agility. Ivi was for me the ultimate flat coated retriever. Extremelly willing to please, very pleasing, teachable, spontanious retriever. Ivi had 2 litters at our kennel (Beatles-litter and Donald-Duck-litter). The autumn of 2005 we bought our first English springer spaniel, Ellie (Barecho Elegant Touch) from kennel Barecho in Sweden. It has been an very interesting time, getting to know a new breed. The flat coats and the springers have many equals qualitys, but also some different sides. Both loving, happy and freandly breeds, that melt your hart ;-)
